This module is the eleventh (11) out of 12 modules describing the methodology for slum upgrading developed through the PSUP. The module focusses on the set up of Community Managed Funds for the involvement of the community in slum upgrading implementation as a mean to address the five slum deprivations but also to promote the local economy.
Community Managed Funds (CMF) provide communities with the opportunity to identify, design, implement and monitor projects to enhance the living conditions in their neighbourhood and to improve their livelihoods. Knowledge on how to set up CMF is hence key at community level.
